Mai postánkban megérkezett az EuroGeoSurveys brüsszeli székhelyéről annak a rendezvénynek a szakmai programja, melyet az európai földtani és geofizikai intézmények ernyőszervezete rendezett Isztambulban a GEO VIII plenáris ülését követően. A HUNAGI Napló november 17-i képes híradását követően az előadás-sorozat prezentációit HUNAGI még a tárgyhéten megküldte a MÁFI térinformatikusainak és Brezsnyánszky Károly úrnak, aki a GEO, GMES és a Föld Bolygó Nemzetközi Éve területén sokat tett hazánknak a nemzetközi földtudományos programokba való bekapcsolódása érdekében.
Az alábbi ma már archív értékű dokumentum jó példát mutat arra nézve, hogyan hívja fel a földmegfigyelés nemzetközi szereplői figyelmét egy szakterület európai szintű vívmányaira, technológiáinak felhasználhatóságára. Ime a Claudia Delfini által küldött felhívás:
‘Geoscience Intelligence for Society: serving European Geoscience Data to GEOSS’.The objective is to inform you how our organisation contributes to provide full and open access to in-situ data combined with Earth Observation ones in several fields such as marine and terrestrial environment including urban areas, mineral mining, geoenergy, water and soil.
Our experts will explain not only the importance of having harmonised geological and geophysical data but also how collecting data products will lead to increased interoperability between disciplines, organisations and countries throughout Europe and the world, contributing to the development of a multidisciplinary approach underpinning both research and decision making for the security, health and prosperity of the society.
The seminar will be held from 16:30 to 18:00 on the 17th of November in Beylerbeyi-2 Hall, followed by a cocktail.
