HUNAGI javasolja a részvételt fiatal, innovatív hallgatók és fiatal szakemberek részére. A részvétel alkalmas szakmai kapcsolatok kialakítására és jó esetben nemzetközi elismeréshez is vezethet, hiszen az Internet of Places versenyen díjat lehet nyerni. 

A támogatók között ott van a NASA, ESA de a HUNAGI is. A pályázónak az alkalmazásban virtuális Föld (Google Earth, NASA World Wind stb) eszközt is használnia kell.

Nicola Dorigatti (az egyik rendező, a Trilogis munkatársa) írja:

"Since the event is inside a bigger event (Life Beyond Tourism) we need to prepare before the event a full list of participant and we need to know how many attendees there will be, together with remote participants.

We set up a very simple form to fill at http://goo.gl/forms/PDC5yjxHhd that will end (if you plan to join the conference physically) to a very small and simple guide to follow to register on the event organizer website (the registration is mandatory if you come in Florence!)

I kindly ask you to fill the form and, if any, to provide the form link to students/planners or attendees that intend to participate to the event. I need their email too in order to start creating the small groups and keep the participants in contact."
