CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

The
participation to the Conference and Assembly is open exclusively and firmly
to those who will present the invitation on behalf of the Foundation.
There
is no registration fee for all the speakers and invited
participants. All the other costs are at the participants’ charge
The
official language is English.

ACCOMMODATION IN FLORENCE
|
||
The
delegates are kindly invited to use the Best Practice Reservation
Portal www.vivafirenze.it that is a practical
application of the Life Beyond Tourism philosophy. You can choose
among over 200 accommodation facilities to get the option that better suits
you in terms of prices (the same hotel fares as in the other international
reservation portals), location, category, etc.
This is
a way to better know how the Life Beyond Tourism Model operates
on the territory and for the territory interpreting and communicating it to
the visitors; indeed, booking your stay with Vivafirenze you (without any
extra-costs for you) contribute to support a crowd funding campaign for 4 special
restoration projects in Florence as with the Model you can do on
your territory.
For
this reason, the reservation portal www.vivafirenze.it has
been selected by the Organizing Committee as the official one for the
Conference and Assembly.
Please
kindly note, given the occupancy level of hotels in Florence expected in
March, rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

based on ESA-NASA World Wind Virtual Globe Technology.
This
prototype web application is presented to us in order to enable cities in the
world to work in their interest and simultaneously benefit from the
other.

Meet in
Person Developers and Master Educator who proposed the project, into the frame
of the Life Beyond Tourism Model, to discuss how you can apply <DelBianco
CitySmart> in your city along with the NASA Program Manager.
Gabriel
Militão Lopes and Miguel Del Castillo Hoffman will be at disposal of those Mayors
and others who would like to know more regarding this web app and the opportunities of cooperation.
- Welcome
to Florence to all the Mayors participants
to be
part of this working group for exercising to dialogue and to work for a
collaboration for the community development and health of our planet, and our
challenge is in favor of our young.

The researchers will present “DelBianco-CitySmart" as a collaborative
effort that allows any city to freely use, and further develop for any solution
they might need.
Every
city can learn from it, add to it or adapt and modify the code to suit their
particular needs.
In a
more overarching goal, the "DelBianco-CitySmart" will begin to
connect cities throughout the world so they can work together for the common
goal of optimizing their infrastructure and environmental footprint.”
DelBianco-CitySmart
is the beginning for how the world works together!
With
the cities of Springfield, Kodiak, New York, Milano, Trento, Pecs, Baku, Lima,
Idrija, Caceres, San Gimignano (others in progress of confirmation) involved,
it is already an international enterprise. Other cities expressed their
interest but cannot be present, anyway they are following our development.
This
international initiative facilitates dialogue, intercultural exchange and a
huge opportunity for high-tech education to become involved in real solutions
for their community that also serve the world. Students will be inspired in the
most exciting way possible. The computer science students can be working with
humanities students to deliver their data via this platform (intercultural
dialogue exercize).
With this
application Mayors could better share a rich and wonderful suite of joint
solutions at all so we could focus on the quality of our lives together here on
planet Earth.
