Felhívás a GEO EO4SDG Kezdeményezésének társelnöki posztjára

A Meteorológiai Világszervezet genfi központjában működő Földmegfigyelési Csoport (GEO) kormányközi szervezet a 'Földmegfigyeléssel a fenntartható fejlődési célok eléréséért' (EO4SDG) kezdeményezés társelnöki pozíciójára vár jelentkezéseket a hónap végéig.

A GEO EO4SDG ma érkezett felhívását a jelenlegi társelnökök, Lawrence Friedl (USA/NASA), Osamu Ochiai (Japán/JAXA), valamint az ügyvezető igazgató Julie Chamberlain, (USA/NASA) jegyezték.

Földmegfigyelés és a Fenntartható Fejlődési Célok az UN-GGIM Europe mai webinárján

Ugyan az ISDE délelőtti 4. on-line Nemzetközi előadásait az Adatkocka témakörben időpont konfliktus miatt nem volt módom meghallgatni, a délutáni ENSZ webinár EO4SDG előadásait nem mulasztottam el. A szokatlanul gyenge Internet kapcsolat ugyan folyamatosan hanghibákat okozott, ennek ellenére a vetített képek hordozták az üzeneteket. Erről majd rövid összefoglalót adok.

 

Helyi földmegfigyelési adatkocka alkalmazások (4. ISDE International Lectures, 2023. május 17)

 2023. május 17-én délelőtt kerül sorra a Nemzetközi Digitális Föld Társaság (ISDE) on-line előadás-sorozatának negyedik eseménye. amely helyi földmegfigyelési adatkockák alkalmazását mutatja be az ISDE jövőképe tükrében (Local Earth Observation Data Cubes for the Digital Earth Vision).

Szervezője az International Society for Digital Earth míg támogatói a pekingi székhelyű International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals, továbbá a Kínai Tudományos Akadémia által támogatott két nemzetközi tudományos szaklap az International Journal of Digital Earth és a Big Earth Data.

Az előadásokat Gregory Giuliani (University of Geneva, Switzerland), Martin Sudmanns (Paris Lodron University Salzburg, Austria) és Dirk Tiede (Paris Lodron University Salzburg, Austria) tartják.A program köszöntővel és bevezetéssel kezdődik majd az előadók és on-line résztvevők csoportfotózásával majd kérdésekkel, feleletekkel fejeződik be.

Az ENSZ GGIM térinformációs tanácsadó szervezete európai tagozatának webinárja a Fenntartható Fejlődési Célokkal kapcsolatos témában

Az ENSZ térinformatikai szakértői testületének európai tagozata (UN-GGIM Europe) ez évre több témakörben szervezett on-line előadás-sorozatot. 1. FFC indikátorok számítása - Atérinformációk és statisztikai adatok integrációja, mint értéknövelés bemutatása. UN-GGIM: Europe Webinar - Showcasing the added value of geospatial and statistical data integration to compute SDG indicators (április 25). Az április 25-I eseményre a Magyar Földmérési, Térképészeti és Távérzékelési Társaság Fenntartható Fejlődési Célok Munkacsoportja (MFTTT WG4SDG) tagja, Palya Tamás hívta fel a figyelmet. A regisztrált több mint száz távoli résztvevő számára lehetőség adódott kérdések feltételére is. A dr. Mihály Szabolcs által vezetett MFTTT WG4SDG képviseletében arra vonatkozóan hangzott el kérdés, hogy a szervező UN-GGIM tervezi-e, hogy a Integrált Térinformációs Együttműködés (IGIF) programja 9 stratégiai elemét, így a kommunikációt és az érdekeltek becsatolását illetően gyűjti és megosztja a legjobb gyakorlatot és a tapasztalatot. Dear GEO colleagues,  We cordially invite you to attend two major GEO events that will take place back-to-back in Geneva in mid-June:  GEO Symposium 2023, 13-14 June 2023  Open Data & Open Knowledge Workshop, 15-16 June 2023  One-stop registration for both events is now open. Theme:  The 2023 GEO Symposium will focus on how GEO can stand out in the crowd—accelerating unique Earth observation partnerships for people, nature and planet.   Objectives: Advance collaborations on a GEO Work Programme that provides integrated, innovative and co-designed products and services.   Support the development of the Post-2025 Strategy and Ministerial Declaration.   Provide the GEO Work Programme community with opportunities to showcase their work and network with each other.  Session Formats:  Interactive dialogues: GEO Work Programme activity leads will join Post-2025 Working Group members, Programme Board members, users and partners, and other key stakeholders to have interactive dialogues on the GEO Post-2025 strategy and the GEO Work Programme.   Thematic sessions: GEO Work Programme activities will contribute to the following discussion on collaborative efforts: Biodiversity and Nature; Urban Resilience for Heat and Health; Multi-Hazard Risks and Impact; and Operational Services via the GEO Work Programme.  Flash talks: GEO Work Programme activities will speak for 5 minutes each using a maximum of three slides on the following topics: enablers for scaling the impact of the GEO Work Programme; and mobilizing resources for the GEO Work Programme.   How to participate  Join us in Geneva from 13-14 June. The Data Working Group, together with the GEOSS Platform and the GEO Knowledge Hub teams are organizing a two-day Open Data and Open Knowledge workshop that will take place in Geneva from 15-16 June 2023.  The workshop—held in person for the first time in three years—will provide the GEO community with an opportunity to discuss technical advances, challenges, and solutions. It follows the endorsement of the GEO Statement on Open Knowledge in 2021 and aims to enable all GEO Work Programme activities to embrace open knowledge practices.  Objectives:  Highlight the ongoing efforts of the GEO Community towards open and reproducible knowledge.  Support open science - citizen science, crowdsourcing,  Empower all users to access and use open EO based applications in the various engagement priorities and main conventions.  Promote open knowledge applications to the youth community, as well as to less represented communities.  Align the GEO community and its activities with the open and reproducible knowledge vision.  Use of open EO in situ data and EO-space based data as well as knowledge for international policy frameworks.  Explore and discuss technological advances that facilitate the implementation of open knowledge.  Provide an opportunity for data & knowledge providers to meet users working on GEO engagement priorities.  Discuss with GWP activities EO data gaps (VHR Space based EO Data- In situ); knowledge gaps and needs.  Discuss gaps and needs versus statistical data to support development of knowledge-based products.  Align and update on technological aspects of GEO infrastructure.  For more information on the programme and how to attend, please visit the workshop’s webpage. Bertalan László PhD, a Debreceni Egyetem, Természettudományi és Technológiai Kar, Földtudományi Intézet, Természetföldrajzi és Geoinformatikai Tanszék munkatársa hazai jelölés alapján és a Digitális Föld Nemzetközi Társaság (ISDE) választása révén tagja lett az ISDE Fiatal Kutatók Innovációs Hálózata (YSIN) Bizottságának. Erről Prof.Dr. Min Chen professzor, a Young Scientist Innovation Network of ISDE vezetője ma küldött értesítést a nyertes jelöltnek és ajánlójának. A Bizottság rangját és kompetenciáját emeli, hogy elnöke többek között a virtuális földrajzi környezet témakörben a kínai oktatási minisztérium kiemelt kínai kutatólaboratóriumának igazgatóhelyettese a Nanjing Egyetemen, 2024-től a földrajzi információtudományok terén a kínai szakemberek nemzetközi társulásának megválasztott elnöke a Nemzetközi Földrajzi Unióban, továbbá a Nemzetközi Környezetmodellezési és Szoftver Társaság alelnöke.
