"Dear ISDE colleagues
The International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) has organized 12 International Symposia on Digital Earth and 9 Digital Earth Summits in 15 countries worldwide, attracting more than 10,000 participants. And the 13th International Symposia on Digital Earth will be held from 11th to 14th July, 2023 in Athens, Greece.
To continue these prosperous events, ISDE is now calling for bids to host the 14th International Symposium on Digital Earth in 2025, and hereby invites all interested organizations, institutions or universities to submit letters of intent and/or bid proposals to host the event.
ISDE encourages our members, and the interested organizations or institutions, to consider this hosting opportunity, and also to disseminate this information in your communities. The final closing date for all Bids is provisionally closed on May 31, 2023.
If your organisation have interests to host the 2026 Digital Earth Summit, please also send a letter of interest to me for future consideration.

Dr.Bertalan Lászlót a "Fiatal Kutatók Innovációs Hálózata" bizottsági tagjává választotta a pekingi székhelyű Digitális Föld Nemzetközi Társaság
Bertalan László PhD, a Debreceni Egyetem, Természettudományi és Technológiai Kar, Földtudományi Intézet, Természetföldrajzi és Geoinformatikai Tanszék munkatársa hazai jelölés alapján és a Digitális Föld Nemzetközi Társaság (ISDE) választása révén tagja lett az ISDE Fiatal Kutatók Innovációs Hálózata (YSIN) Bizottságának.
Erről Prof.Dr. Min Chen professzor, a Young Scientist Innovation Network of ISDE vezetője ma küldött értesítést a nyertes jelöltnek és ajánlójának. A Bizottság rangját és kompetenciáját emeli, hogy elnöke többek között a virtuális földrajzi környezet témakörben a kínai oktatási minisztérium kiemelt kínai kutatólaboratóriumának igazgatóhelyettese a Nanjing Egyetemen, 2024-től a földrajzi információtudományok terén a kínai szakemberek nemzetközi társulásának megválasztott elnöke a Nemzetközi Földrajzi Unióban, továbbá a Nemzetközi Környezetmodellezési és Szoftver Társaság alelnöke.
Sok sikert kívánunk a fiatal kutató és oktató további nemzetközi karrierjéhez! Ezzel a Debreceni Egyetem Természetföldrajzi és Geoinformatikai Tanszéke tovább erősíti hírnevét Prof. Dr. Szabó Szilárd tanszékvezető egyetemi tanár irányítása alatt, aki maga is tagja az ISDE tudományos folyóirata az International Journal of Digital Earth szerkesztő bizottságának.
Ahogy a jelölt ajánlásáról, úgy az eredményes megválasztásáról tájékoztatást kapott a KKM Űrpolitikáért és Űrtevékenységért Felelős Főosztálya, valamint az MFTTT WG4SDG munkacsoport elnöke (lévén, hogy az ISDE egyik kiemelt célja a fenntartható fejlődési célok elérésének támogatása).
Egyébként a HUNAGI Napló 2013. május 29-i bejegyzése, amely a Magyar Térinformatikai Társaság rendkívüli közgyűléséről adott hírt, tartalmazza a következő mondatot:
"A megnyíló HUNAGI diák/hallgatói tagozat Dr. Mucsi László SZTE mentorsága mellett alakul újra. Első tagja Bertalan László a Debreceni Egyetem doktorandusza."
