" One of the defined EUROGI objectives (O.3) is to develop GI applications (to promote the development of innovative services enabling the effective use of geo-spatial data for day-to-day uses) through its WAG Applications. Its proposed Work Plan 2007 contains two main items:
- Improving and developing the presentation of GI applications in Europe, and especially while renewing the current WebCastle. A better access and an easier search should attract more visitors and will bring to you an efficient tool for promoting your capacities and results.
- Supporting the EUROGI members in the development of new applications by identifying opportunities and potential partners in European funded programs, as FP7 (especially related to INSPIRE, Galileo and GMES) and by proposing position papers to be used by the President and the Executive Committee for lobbying decision makers
In order to achieve its goals and carry out its tasks the WAG Applications needs to increase its human resources and enlarge its membership. Currently the WAG Applications members are:

Március 29-én Brüsszelben, a Közgyűlést megelőzően lesz egy ankét az alkalmazások európai geoportáljáról, amely keretében egy “esettanulmányi sablon” is ismertetésre kerül azzal a céllal, hogy az alkalmazások a geoportálon mind szemléletesebben bemutathatók legyenek. Bármilyen hazai alkalmazási esettanulmányt szívesen vesznek a mellékelt sablon szerint megadva.
