Workshop Description
The workshop is a paramount opportunity for GIS experts, coming from research institutions, industry and administrations to meet and exchange information and experiences. The main focus of the event is to analyse the INSPIRE Directive (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe) from a technical point of view and present the results of the recent EU projects in this field.
In particular the program of the workshop aims to share information on issues related to international data models and analyse the INSPIRE Directive as a legislative and methodological framework for all EU Member States.
GIS experts from academia, government, research organisations and industry are welcome to submit the abstracts of their latest work for oral presentation at the workshop.
Themes
The program committee welcomes papers in all areas of INSPIRE theme and we particularly encourage contributions in
# INSPIRE testing and application;
# Instruments and tools for data modelling versus INSPIRE model;
# Geospatial Web Services - services and geodata sharing by the web
# Multilanguage aspects on geodatabase
# Impact of SDI on Europe - experiences with current spatial data infrastructures at local, regional, national level under the Inspire directive
# Cost-benefit assessment for INSPIRE implementation
